This study is designed to investigate and compare the histopathological features of the uterus in dogs that undergo ovariohysterectomy as part of elective sterilization procedures at veterinary clinics in Kermanshah County. In addition, it aims to evaluate the expression of cellular proliferation and angiogenesis markers following the diagnosis of the cystic endometrial hyperplasia–pyometra (CEH–pyometra) complex and pseudoplacental endometrial hyperplasia.Uterine samples will be collected from female dogs aged 2 to 12 years during elective ovariohysterectomy. Initially, the uterine tissues will be examined histopathologically for the presence of endometrial alterations and classified accordingly. Subsequently, the expression of Ki-67 and VEGF markers in the endometrial tissue will be identified and evaluated using the immunohistochemical (IHC) technique. Prior to surgery, blood samples will be collected from the selected animals and analyzed for hematological and biochemical parameters.The primary objective of this study is to investigate and compare the histopathological findings and the immunohistochemical expression of Ki-67 and VEGF as markers of cellular proliferation and angiogenesis in inflammatory processes of the canine endometrium affected by the cystic endometrial hyperplasia–pyometra (CEH–pyometra) complex and pseudoplacental endometrial hyperplasia in cases referred to veterinary clinics in Kermanshah County for elective ovariohysterectomy.
