Biography

Behzad Elhami was born in Isfahan in June 1991. He earned his High School Diploma in Mathematics and Physics from Saeb High School in 2008, followed by a B.Sc. in Agricultural Mechanization from the University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources of Khuzestan in 2014. In the same year, he achieved a distinguished rank (4th) in the national entrance exam for the Master's degree in Agricultural Mechanization.
He completed his M.Sc. in Agricultural Mechanization at the University of Tehran in 2016, graduating with a thesis grade of 19.9/20 and publishing over 10 ISI, peer-reviewed, and conference papers. In 2017, he ranked 6th nationally in the PhD entrance exam and was admitted to the University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources of Khuzestan.
In 2019, he was officially recognized as a "National Talent" by the National Elites Foundation and was appointed as the Top Researcher of his university that same year. In February 2022, he earned his PhD in Agricultural Mechanization with a dissertation grade of 19.8/20, titled "Time-Cost-Quality Management and Multi-Objective Energy-Economic-Environmental Optimization in the Onion Production Chain."
From 2022 to 2024, Dr. Elhami collaborated with the Isfahan Agricultural Research Center. Since completing his doctorate, he has served as a consulting professor for several theses in the fields of energy, environment, and the modeling and optimization of agricultural systems. Since October 2025, he has held the position of Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Agriculture in Songhor, Razi University.
He serves as a reviewer for over 10 prestigious international journals, including Energy Reports, Cleaner Production, and Applied Energy, and has published more than 20 high-impact articles in Q1 and Q2 journals. His primary research interests include energy consumption analysis (Energy, Exergy, and Emergy) from tillage to post-harvest, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), multi-objective energy-economic-environmental modeling and optimization, and time-cost-quality management in agricultural production.
In the academic domain, he has taught courses such as Project Control Management, Agricultural Machinery, Principles of Energy Management, Energy Efficiency, Sustainable Agriculture, Engineering Management, Engineering Statistics, Introduction to Hydraulics, and Life Cycle Assessment. Furthermore, in December 2025, he was appointed as the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Representative and Supervisor of the Faculty of Agriculture in Songhor.
